Episode 9: Pop The Eyes In 60 Seconds!
May 7, 2008
Some of our baby photography tips are long, but this one is guaranteed to be short! Here’s how to make the eyes in any picture pop in Adobe Photoshop, and we’ll do the photography tip in under 60 seconds!
Show Notes:
- Create a Curves adjustment layer. Click and drag a point from the middle up and to the left.
- Immediately go to the Edit menu, and select Fill. Make sure Black is selected in the dropdown menu, and click Ok.
- Now, anywhere you paint with white will show the effect (the brightening of the image). Hit B for brush, make sure you have a soft brush, and paint with white.
- I like to paint inside the eyes, avoiding the pupil and the whites of the eyes. Sometimes it’s good to also paint the whites as well.
- If the effect is too strong, use the opacity slider on your curves adjustment layer to dial it down.
- That’s it!
