May 29, 2008
Here’s a fun baby photography tip idea that will keep your head spinning. Be sure to get the barf bag.
It’s hot outside! So here’s a fun photo tip that you can do indoors. You’ll end up with shots like this:
Show Notes:
- You need a camera that will let you change the shutter speed, either manually or through Shutter Priority (Tv). Start with a shutter speed around 1/5th of a second.
- Choose a room that has lights in the background like desk lamps or sconces.
- Make sure your flash is on and fires.
- Aperture can be anywhere in the 2.8 - 4.0 range to start.
- ISO can be 100 for a bright room with window light, up to 800 or higher for a darker room.
- Spin and keep your arms extended with the camera at eye level. Take the picture while spinning.
- Make sure your lights are behind you when you snap the shutter!
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed this fun little baby photography tip and I look forward to hearing about your results!
