ABOUT

In The Beginning

Wife: “I’m pregnant.”

Eric: “We need a new camera.”

The conversation went something like that. This was back in late 2004, and since then, I’ve been enamored with digital photography. And even in the few years since the birth, the price of cameras has dropped significantly, and the quality has improved dramatically.

Enter The Movie Poster Announcement

When we found out that baby due was on the way, I was looking for a cool way to announce it, so I created a custom birth announcement made like a movie poster. This was the beginning of BoxOfficeBaby.com. You can see those original posters here. I knew that I wanted a baby photography tips and tricks section on the site, but as I started to brainstorm ideas, it was obvious that there was too much information for the poster site, so I created ShootTheBaby.com.

Photograph Your Family, Keep Your Sanity. Guaranteed (*)

We all know what it’s like to take pictures and have them turn out crappy. At ShootTheBaby, the goal is to teach you some simple baby photography tips and techniques to improve the quality of your images. We’ll also cover news and reviews as it applies to you. I have big plans for the future of the site, and I welcome your comments and suggestions here.

Occasionally we list links to products that we’ve reviewed or use regularly. If you are in the market for those products, please purchase them using the links in our stories. We get a small percentage from those sales, and that helps us keep the site running to provide all this great content.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to shoot your baby today! :)
Eric
